Nathan, I'm still hanging out in "I". Too chicken and probably too slow to move up to "A", but that is my objective for next season. Given the crashfest on Saturday in "I", I think it might be safer to be in A... Greg
In spite of all the crashing on Sat, I had a great time. Sad to see the season end for me. I took a bunch of rear facing video off my yellow and black 749 both days, so if you were following me, let me know and I'll try to find some footage. Here is a clip featuring a scorched yellow Daytona 675. At the tail end I shifted in to no man's land and wasn't ever able to retake the two guys that passed me. http://contour.com/videos/watch/grattan-92912-missed-shift-dope-slap
This nice blue and white 1098 was pitted near us on Sunday, but I hardly ever saw him on track. I guess I should have been looking over my shoulder because he was right there most of this session anyway...You also get a glimpse of the motard that redflagged this session. Get away from the bike, dude!!! http://contour.com/videos/watch/grattan-93012-1pm-stt-int-blue-1098--2
Yea I heard it was pretty ugly on Saturday :sorry: Glad you kept your bike clean though! I can't wait until next year to get back on track again...how am I going to survive until then? Short video of my Sunday experience....Pardon the music haha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUw0zvDo74w&list=HL1349197853&feature=mh_lolz
Yeah sorry i was one of the idiots who got I red flagged in the afternoon i did manage to get it all on my go pro
Not to pick on you, but I was reviewing your old posts. Curious how you went from your very first track days on June 9/10th, again July 30/July 1st -Fifth track day moved up to I on Labor day. Did a coach say you were ready for I or just decide on your own 4 track days was enough in the beginners group?
yes i had a couple coaches and other riders who were in advanced tell me to move up, i was running 1:33-1:35 times on saturday, i just came into 1 way to hot and i didnt break enough, but you learn from mistakes, im very comfortable on bikes i've rode dirt bikes growing up and flat tracked for a while so im no newb on a bike
I'm not sure if I ever followed you on Sat/Sun but I was on the black BMW S1000RR. I think I got some pic's of you following me though on Sunday CCW. I'll upload the pic's my parents got in a bit! Thanks
My favorite part of the video is the last scene... The hand gesture says it all - I guess we're good!
Poor guy, I got a bunch of video of him behind me too. I will try to post some of my videos too (never did that before). I was in N on Sat and I on Sunday.
Here is the video of someone crashing in front of me, skip to 10:50 to see the crash at T10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmbwUXytx5Y&list=UUsHEfzvnUIQdGZFQXurqzRQ&index=5&feature=plcp Only my second track day in N, all criticism accepted Felt very comfortable at this track, it was awesome. Dragged my knee for the first time haha. Felt like losing my virginity again! And I scraped up both my boots!!
Hope everyone who went down get a speedy recovery. In April at Grattan, all of I group needs to take it a little easy, PLEASE!
That was me not long ago. Until I realized that passing (safely) is the best part of trackdays. :fencing:
Cool! Would like to see that, although I don't think my wimpy little 749 would have been able to hang with your high HP machine very long...
Good thing I didn't fart, might have knocked Sully off his bike... http://contour.com/videos/watch/grattan-93012-hands-on-coaching
Nice video, and pretty bike. I think I passed you one time after the jump coming up the hill on the outside, and it was a little on the tight side - sorry about that. Sunday was great. Great weather, almost no crashes, good times.
