We all start out slow, no shame there. Having fun and learning good techniques is what it's all about. Glad you had a great time and enjoyed yourself. Welcome to the addiction

Great weekend and sorry for being so slow in "A" I was seconds off my pace but by Sunday at least I started to feel back in the groove for the first time since getting tenderized :crutch: I do blame the RC though as it seemed sluggish with the screwed up pipes and I was really down on power and acceleration (not something it always has a surplus of)

Oh and while I got passed much more than I passed others the passes were all clean and fun (some even showed me some future opportunities to get folks). There was one though  that missed taking out my front wheel by about 6" going onto the front straight, the guy behind me was amazed the guy didn't give a sorry about that wave or anything. I could have gotten back by on the brakes at the end of the straight but to be honest did not really want him near me. No harm no foul though and all is good :thumb:

Now winter time to get the RC back to 100% and maybe even painted :rawk:

holy crap that was scary looking. I was standing at pit out at the flag station and u came by us with the rear locked....probably a few hundred feet of sliding and fishtailing...i kept thinking there was no way you were gonna stop with the rear locked up. There were about 5-6 other bikes around and they did an awesome job avoiding you. You bucked right before the small strip of grass and rolled a few times. 2 guys were really close to hitting you but made it out.

I think I have video of it. I was out in INT and I brought my camera out for the second session. I didn't catch the actual get off because I was coming out of turn 12 but I saw the smoke and rode up on the accident when you went off. I'll upload it late tonight hopefully.

I had a great time on Saturday. So glad I was able to get a spot on Saturday. I love riding with STT and the friendly people and Staff are always a pleasure. I did get a little over zealous in I by making a few close passes, unintentionally but none-the-less it happened, and I got a talking to once. Sorry if it made anyone feel unsafe. I tried to hot pit whenever I got into traffic but it only did so much. Tried to get a bump to A but unfortunately no more room. I still had a great time, was able to improve my riding some and learned even more. Thanks to the STT staff for putting on a great event. This was probably it for me for the rest of the season so I'll see you all next year!

My first track weekend, too! And it was friggin AWESOME! I had such a good time, even though, like you, I was really slow and everyone was passing me. It's all good because it was so much fun! I can't wait for next time :)
Thanks to everyone for the help and advice!

April, You did great, especially for your first trackday. You were smooth and followed the race line beautifully. That's the way you get fast:thumb:

I think I might have been the recipient of one of your close passes, up near the spider. I'm just transitioning from novice to intermediate and, while not one of the "fast ones", I was maintaining a consistent line and pace and didn't appreciate the near contact. But I do appreciate the apology :) Otherwise I had a super weekend and enjoyed both days immensely.

Incredible time as always! The day after track, however, is like the day after X-mas. :(
Thanks to Cyndi and Trevor and everyone else for making this weekend such a tremendously fun success!
