And "B" however in Senior you get to race the BMWs :( Got 7th once on the RC and was happier about that than the ones that got plaques. Worked my tail off and even beat a 1098.

No way you are SS unless they are just not looking. I swapped rims to run it as everything else was legal.

Started o the tank today at Lunch...... I removed the Fuel Pump and low and behold the inside of this 17 Year Old tank looks good.... A common mod is to put a external fuel Filter on which I have done in the past so I removed it from the Pump... I have the $34 Gasket... Yes that's right $34 Gasket for the pump so I wanted to clean the underside of the tank real good... The stains on the frame led me to believe it was leaking regardless... I stripped the bottom of the tank and decided just to do the whole thing.... Might take a little longer than expected... I think My Stripper lost its power over the year it was on the shelf... I will be getting some Aircraft stripper.... Taking it down to the bare metal then putting on a sealer before Primer... Here is the sad state its in now... I could just clear over this and say the heck with it... Can you find the shot glass???

I know how to, I just choose not to. Unlike Marc, I detest turning wrenches! I just like to ride

Strip it, scuff it and clear it. Bare metal looks bad ass!!

Did I ever ask you what you plan on having the bike look like when finished (color)?

I would do that but the tank has about 3 Lbs of Bondo in it...I have been scrapin 5 layers of paint off the last couple hours... I shouldn't have even done it but what the hell.... Havent decided on color yet... No where close to that point yet... I do know the frame will be black, wheels gold...and the tail will be Carbon.... Oh and Public Service Announcement... When using Aircraft Paint Stripper even with gloves on. wash your hands before you go Pee Pee....

I wish my TLR tank was clean on the inside. Going through the whole POR-15 process which takes forever due to prep. Even found a couple pinholes I gotta fix .

Ya know I did the POR 15 on the R-1 and was happy.... But it was a pain in the ass.... Vinegar and Sand is a good method too.... Just cork it.. Wrap it in a blanket with duct tape then put it in your dryer for an hour....

Looks like today is the day to Paint the Frame... I need to remove the triple and swing arm and wipe down one more time with acetone... The Gas tank was tough but almost done.. I am kind of digging the Army Etching Primer look... Might look good with a black frame... It is a Tank after all...Here is how she sits now... The blank canvas is about to be done...

    Looking good.

I had Millers Powder Coating in Lilburn do some work for me on a bike I'm building. I had them blast and powder coat the frame and skid plate. All in it was $150, which I thought was a great price and that included them blasting the tank for me so I could do the body work. I think they had only added $20 for blasting the tank. They do great work at a good price if you are thinking about powder coating anything.

No... Still waiting on some funds to get the second TLR with the good Front end the week of 2/20... Even if I don't get that one then I plan on taking my forks with me to Louisville that week and have Dennis @ R&D Cycles rebuild them.... He said he would do the stripped bolts as well on them which gives me time to work on other stuff like the Motor...

Nope I am not opening ot up at all... Yosh used to make some very very nice parts for it back in the day.. Cams ect but those parts are long gone... It sounded strong when I had it running a few weeks back.. I will leave it alone other than TRE, Pair Valve ect... A new Full M4 will be going on when $$ permits..

M4 nice!! Love M4. Not sure where you plan to get one but I have a bit of a hook up on M4 and it saved me good $$ when ordering mine (for the R6). When you're ready LMK
