New guy here...

    Greetings all,

    I'm a complete track noob, but I hope to change that soon. I'm from Joliet, I'm 38 years old, and I've ridden quads, three wheelers and dirt bikes forever. I got my first street bike, a CBR600RR, 11 years ago. I stepped up to an '06 CBR1000RR in 2012.

    I sold that bike last Saturday, and this Thursday I'm going down to Urbana to pick up a brand new '15 S1000RR.

    I've always been interested in doing a track day, but I've finally managed to get the wife on board with the whole idea. I've got a few more pieces of gear to acquire, but I should be ready to hit the track by the middle of summer. I hope.

    You're not alone! I'm in Aurora, have only done one track day so far but plans to do many more this year. My season will open at Autobahn Memorial Day weekend. I look forward to seeing you there.

    Welcome to the addiction!!! Once you experience a day at the track you will want to go as much as possible!!!

    R's aren't mandatory when you have a DUC
