Greetings all, I'm a complete track noob, but I hope to change that soon. I'm from Joliet, I'm 38 years old, and I've ridden quads, three wheelers and dirt bikes forever. I got my first street bike, a CBR600RR, 11 years ago. I stepped up to an '06 CBR1000RR in 2012. I sold that bike last Saturday, and this Thursday I'm going down to Urbana to pick up a brand new '15 S1000RR. I've always been interested in doing a track day, but I've finally managed to get the wife on board with the whole idea. I've got a few more pieces of gear to acquire, but I should be ready to hit the track by the middle of summer. I hope. Looking forward to seeing you all later!
You're not alone! I'm in Aurora, have only done one track day so far but plans to do many more this year. My season will open at Autobahn Memorial Day weekend. I look forward to seeing you there.
