Well, Peggy and I have been doing track days together since 2006 and average 8 to 10 weekends a year. We have never stayed at the track because we never had a desire to bunk in an enclosed trailer and sleep on air matresses or such, so it's been hotel rooms for two nights every time we went. We had talked about buying a Toy Hauler for when we retire and would use it to load a couple of bike in and take off for parts unknown and see some of the country. I bought my F 250 Diesel truck 6 years ago to be able to pull our 7 x 16 enclosed trailer to the track and eventually buy a T.H. once we got to retirement time. Well, we started looking seriously at Toy Haulers a couple of months ago, figuring we could use it for track days for as long as we do them, and then use it for our retirement travels too. On October 28th, we pulled the trigger on a new Keystone Impact 303 which is a 34 1/2 foot T.H. It has a 10' x 8' garage in the back, a full kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, 40" HDTV, DVD/CD/FM/AM entertainment system, indoor and outdoor speakers, powered awning, 2 slideouts, power tongue jack, powered stabilizers, 5500 Watt Onan generator, 30 gal re-fueling station with an electric pump, 15K BTU ducted A/C unit, 35K propane furnace, insulated walls, ceiling, floors, full bathroom, Queen bed.....and some things that I'm sure I'm leaving out.....like the electric lift queen bed in the garage along with another queen fold out sofa and reclining sofas in the living room. This is my first ever travel trailer/RV type thing and I'm in a giant learning curve with all the stuff that I need to know/learn. I just added a 50 amp shore power plug in to my detached garage so that I can plug in at home if I need to for charging batteries, etc. Here are a few pics of the T.H.
Looks awesome Vern!! Very happy to hang with you guys in the evenings now.... You will see what you have been missing for years!
When it's time for Putnam, pull it out front of my house.. Looks very nice,, hope you enjoy it for many years.
Congratulations! I'm sure you'll be enjoying that a lot. I have thought about buying a small one but not in my current budget, lol! Maybe someday down the road...Enjoy!
looks awesome Vern! Peg and you will love it.. Theresa and I just got our first in august and are now wondering how we ever did all these days without it!
I'm already starting to think that......and we haven't even used it at a track yet......really looking forward to next year as our track days are over for this year for us.
Vern all I have to say is insulated or not you two better sleep with earplugs if you pit next to me like you have over the years....... The party stays on till the last person drops.... As well as the music....
very nice, we've been looking at a new one, since i need a bed for my daughter. I will say that thing is purdy, but very odd spot for the slide out.
What is odd about the slide out(s).....this is my first ever camper so I don't quite know what you are referring to?
