I'm planning on giving these a try and was wondering what Michelin recommends as far as air pressure & warmer temps. I know there have been some posts recommending 30/29 but want to verify that's correct. I'm assuming the carcass is different than the power race which needs much lower pressure in the rear.

I absolutely love the PRC/PR4 combo and if these are as good for less $ I will be VERY happy.

It's been my experience that compare to DOT's, slicks have a stiffer carcass and last longer in terms of wear.

That being said, the stiffer carcass is far less 'forgiving' that DOT's and unless one is mid-pack in the Advanced group, the benefits of grip are outweighed by handling issues from a less forgiving tire. Also, if there is any water about on the track, the slicks will be a liability for sure.

For virtually all track day fun, DOT's are perfectly fine tires that provide far more grip than would be needed, or even capably utilized....

Thanks for the reply hank, I understand that. What I'm looking for are Michelin's recommended tire pressures.

I beleve the 1800 is of a conventional design 30/30
the PR4 require a 25 pounds in the rear (stiffer carcass )
