Up for sale is my beloved 2000 BMW M5 in a very rare Anthracite Metallic (only 2% of E39 M5’s produced in this color) with approximately 128k miles and in overall great condition. I planned to keep this car for a very long time as it is one of my dream cars and have invested a lot in the past year in preventative maintenance but my priorities have changed recently and I can’t justify keeping it right now - want to get more serious about track days and possibly racing.

I have FULL RECIEPTS for nearly everything done to this car and a detailed maintenance history since the first owner – all dealer maintained and never in an accident! You are hard-pressed to find another E39 or similar car with this much detail of recorded history and amount of care invested in it so you don’t have to worry about surprises! I’ve been working on Audi’s and BMW’s with a passion for nearly 10 years so I can assure you this vehicle has been well taken care of and never raced by me or any signs of it seeing a track by the previous owners.

The only modifications done to the car are ST Coilovers, face-lifted clear corner headlights, CCFL angel eyes, ECS tuning jack-point protection pads, Clutch-Stop, and an OEM BMW weighed shift knob which were all done in my ownership. My only intentions were to make the car feel great to drive – I’d rather throw money at it performing flawlessly and properly than putting money into performance modifications. I can assure you it feels great, the engine pulls like freight-train, and drives overall much better than when I purchased it over 2 years ago.

There is a large list of maintenance done to the car but I will list some of the more recent work done in the past year or so (110-125k miles):

    -Alternator and voltage regulator
    -Fan clutch
-Front control arms and steering rack/tie rods
    -Rear upper control arms
    -All four sway bar links
    -Rear sway bar bushing brackets
    -Front wheel bearings
    -Rear speed sensors
-Brake pads all around, including new rear rotors
    -Fuel filter
    -x1 Cam position sensor
    -Coolant temperature sensor
    -Thermostat and coolant flush
    -Chain tensioner
    -VANOS system rebuilt
    -Drive belts
    -Slave cylinder
    -Final Stage Unit resistor
    -Engine mounts
    -Transmission mounts
    -Lower oil pan and gasket
-Transmission and rear differential fluid flushed
-ST Coilovers to replace the worn OEM struts
-Clutch at around 98k miles (previous owner)

I will include a few extra parts with the purchase including a shifter bushing, Mann oil filter, OEM BMW touch-up paint kit, along with some other items if I get a good offer. I do NOT have the stock wheels or the OEM suspension. The tires have great tread left (current winter setup with Dunlop Winter Sport 3D) and are mounted on Style 172 replica’s in great shape, no rash or damage of any kind.

I am asking $13,500 OBO – Might trade for clean titled track bikes plus cash but low ball offers will be ignored. Located in Milwaukee county.

    Thanks for looking!
