At my age (lets just say way past 55!) and 140lbs I have decided that my new R-1 is just tooooo much bike for me. Waaaay to fast! So I am going back to a Triumph 675. These new R1's have the best liter engine that I have ever rode, tons of tourqe like a v-twin, yet the ability to rev out like a in-line. Just perfect. The chassis also is great once you get it sorted and this one is already done for you. I ran 1:01's with it a Tally a few weeks back and at my weight it was "manhandling" me around quite a bit. Ben Bostrom ran some pretty quick times on his this past weekend at Tally too.

I purchase the bike in Jan and spent six weeks fully race prepping it. Here is the list of mods as no expense was spared. The bike was broke in for 800 miles on the street and has 500 track day miles on it, 1314 is the total mileage as of today. Oil and filter changed four times already.

    Sharkskinz body work professionally painted
    Ohlins 25mm fork kit
    Ohlins TTX rear shock
Leo-Vince stainless exhaust with Ti cans
    Re-flashed ECU by Jett Tuning
Vortex latest rear sets with folding tips
    Renthal clip-ons
    520 PBI sprockets
    520 gold RK chain
Goodrich brake lines front and rear
SBS duel carbon front brake pads
Woodcraft engine covers with sliders on both sides
    Lightened rear brake rotor
    Pazzo levers
    Motul brake fluid
    Traxxion dynamics ride height shims
90 degree angled valve stems front and rear
    Zero gravity windshield
    Cox radiator guard
    APE manual cam chain tensioner
    Rear spools
    Safety wired
Michelin Power One "V" front and "C" rear with one day on them.

And more I am forgetting for sure.

Spares include a complete new set of wheels with lightened rotor, front rotors, sprocket and carrier and spacers. New Front sprockets, 15&17 tooth. New Rear sprockets 45, 46, 47, 48 tooth. And some more misc other spares.

The stock bodywork and stuff is gone.

Free and clear title in my name, not a salvage bike.

Anybody that knows me knows how anal I am with my bikes and this one is set and ready to win.

Takes exactly $14,750.00 to dance on this bad boy, very firm. I have almost $20K in it with all receipts for everything I put on it. Just like you all, I pay for all of my shit, nobody gives me nothing for free!

I can be reached here via PM or 423-715-5354 is my cell.

The bike is located here in Cleveland, Tenn, just North of Chattanooga.

I will ask Marc TLR67 to post some pics for me.

    Thanks for looking.

i am in the market for a new R1 but i think your price is a little high! i dont mean to be disrespectfull but the listed mods and extras dont add to the price of the bike itself! KBB list it for $9270 retail not private sale the new R1's have not held there value that great but either way if your willing to come down on the price a bit i would be very interested!

hey i think you just posted a reply under the wrong thread. this bike is top of the line. TOP OF THE LINE, none better. that price is not high. he will get what he is asking for it, because someone out there knows what they are looking at, can appreciate it, and it willing to drop some cash to have the best of the best that has been maintained meticulously. but thats just my 2cents.

p.s. did i mention its TOP OF THE LINE IN EVERY WAY?!?!?!?!?!

no i agree and i dont mean any diserespect the only problem is its no longer stock the only replacement or "upgrades" he has is a replacement for the oem stuff that he does not have anymore! he would be better off turning it back to oem and selling the mods! you have to figure that his suspension setup will only work for someone of his weight class which is a more than rare occurance that someone of that size will want such a monster bike! thats just an example mods are only what that owner wanted the next guy could want something different! just my 2cents oh and i know im new but really looking for a R1 or 1000rr and i could not pass this up!

Think of it this way...you could not come anywhere close to duplicating this bike for the asking price! Suspension...springs are cheap. Bike is a rolling woody maker!
Forgot the biggest selling point. It was ridden by an old man for nice weekend rides. Tdub

Hey its no problem, been doing this stuff a long time, I don't take anything personal. The thing is, this bike is track ready to go, you will not have to do a thing to it to ride and ride fast. How much is six weeks labor worth to you?

Although the bike is set up for me, I feel confident in saying it will work for you too unless you are over 225lbs. (It currently is set up with stiff springs front and rear as this is how these R1's work best, Tall and stiff) Although I do not know you, and I am just "spitballing" here, I am probably just a "bit" faster than you and I think you will find my set-up will work great for you too. I sold a WERA racer my Triumph 675 at the end of last season, he was much heavier than I am, but I am four seconds a lap faster than he is, turns out "my" setup is perfect for "him" as he has not changed a clicker and is very happy and riding even faster than he was on his old bike. If you are tight and on a budget, let me know what you don't want on this incredible bike and I can remove it and reduce the price. I can seriously show you almost $20K worth of receipts, so if you want a "turn key" track R1, then this is it. Heck track ready R6's are bringing $12K-13.5K right now. Let me know and I can adjust things for you. For instance, I just talked to the guy that bought my stock bodywork, he has not installed any of it and will sell it right back to me, I will take off the Sharkskinz and give you the stock stuff for less. I am very flexable and not in a hurry.

    Thanks for looking.

    Mark

Yeah, and I know a guy who knows a guy who says Mark is a STAND UP GUY!

Actually, I got a smokin deal on a set of leathers from Mark on the WERA BBS. Got them in 'as advertised condition' in like 2 freakin days... buyer need NOT worry.

BTW, you were right, the TaiChis woulda been too small, the Bericks fit perfect!
