After my last post I thought about the rules and didn't see you had to have a number on your bike. Is this so? If we already have numbers will we have to remove them?

After/During tech inspection are there stickers or identified markers placed on your bike to determine what riding group you are in? I know I'm in "I" group; but will others know?

Are there STT riders (CRs) on the track at the same time your group is on the track?

Numbers are not required with STT, you do not need to remove them.

You are issued a large sticker with either an "N", "I", or "A" that is placed on the front and when you go thru tech, it is signed.

There are CR's out with each group. They will work with you if you ask, otherwise they are there to keep an eye out.

How can to tell a CR from other riders?

The control riders will have on brightly colored vests. Either orange, or yellow or something similar.

Usually, in the "N" or "I" groups, a control rider will lead each session onto the track.

Great thanks for the information. The reason for my questions is to see how much difference there is between riding groups. Not much which makes the transition much easier.

    Thanks again!

    Jay,

If you're looking for some help from a Track Coach in the Intermediate Group, be sure to let them know. They'll be glad to help, but if you don't ask they'll probably be busy watching for riders that obviously need some help.

Understood, thanks. Is there a professional photographer at STT events?

  8. Most events have a track photographer.

And based on your use of the term "CR" (STT calls them "coaches"), FYI you can pass STT coaches without waiting for a wave-by.

    Welcome to da club!
