I know this topic has been brought up before, but here's an update on the mini road course at Englishtown:

    http://www.racewaypark.com/main/roadcourse/index.htm

If you watch the video, it doesn't look as bad as the photos show. Then again, it is taken from a slwo moving car.

Would make an excellent Motard track, far safer than most cart tracks.

I'm not liking the Armco barrier on the right, at the end of the video, nor am I crazy about the walls in the illustration:

The rumors that I've heard say it will be strictly supermoto bikes allowed on the track.

Modern track "design", trying to pack too much in too little space.

CW, I went to Supercamp over in Harrington last weekend. Those guys give great instruction and it's more fun than passing sportbikes on a DRZ. On day two I got to spin around with a steel shoe.

The only drawback is I now need even smaller tracks.

Supercamp sounds great. Someday . . . I was hoping to do the Doug Henry school this year but with his unfortunate injury I'm not sure if that's still a possibility. I hope he's back to the school and competition soon.

I feel like I'm doing supermoto backwards, having started on the street then moving to the track with a sportbike, then to supermoto. My dirt riding experience is pretty limited. I had a DR650 a few years ago, but it was stolen before I had the chance to take it off road more than a dozen times. But I just picked up an old KTM LC4 . . . this summer I hope to learn a bit more about how to make my front and rear wheels spin at different speeds.

I'm with Mike, Lance and Chris. Note they call them a "guard wall". What in the world are they guarding? Definitely not the bike on course.

I'll pass on this just like I'll pass on Daytona. 150+ mph with a concrete wall surrounding you is just nuts.
