Southern Staffers, September 8-9 we are going to be coming down to Barber (not as Staff). John and I have teaching in the mid-west for 3 years. I have never been to the track any advise in advanced to getting around the track at good pace? Thanks,
Hook up with someone that knows it... If you have racing experience you should be fine after the first session or so..... I would be more than happy to show you the lines in between the Novice Sessions in Advanced If I 'm there but I have to tell ya though Im no Matt Miladin or nothing...Get ready to get spoiled... Marc
TRL, I would enjoy being showed around. I am can ride at a good pace. Turning 29's at Road America, 15's at Blackhawk (hate that track), and 11's at Autobahn North. I can get around but have never be at a gratton and it seems there are alot of blind off camber corners. That is like turn 6 at Road America my weakest corner in the world. Please let me know if you are going to be there I would like to hook up and learn the track. Thank you for your responce. The Folks From The North!!! Barto
Barto... It's not as much fun as Mid-Ohio IMO as there is an absence of any "real" HP stright but it makes up for it in a couple of other places once you get passed that one issue. Oh ya, pit in sucks. You'll enjoy it on the 600, it reall is the perfect 600 track.
Monte, Thank you for the advice, Burton sent me a link to you tube. They have a couple laps filmed from James Toseland. That also was helpful. I can't wait it is one of the tracks I need to have on my list. See you at Autobahn!!! Barto
Don't let the blind turns worry you . You can hold the throttle down the front straight and go through T1 crazy fast . Same with T4 over the hill , from 5 all the way to the curbing in the coaster and also the end of the backstraight / over the tunnel
