Just got myself a new back protector for Christmas. It came neatly rolled in a mesh storage bag.

...but now it doesn't really want to lay properly on my back. With the leathers over it, this is mostly solved, but should I be storing it in the bag as the instructions say, or letting it hang?

I'm sure it'll have some airing out to do during normal use, but I was thinking of using the bag during transport to and from the track. any thoughts?

I'm not sure what back protector you have, but I have the Bohn Carbon, and when I'm not wearing it, it's on a hanger in my closet. I've had this one for 3 years and have had no issue with it.

I don't want to go against your instructions, but my experience is that hanging it doesn't cause any problems (so far)...

If you should care, I hang my back protector on a hanger inside my leathers. This makes it difficult to accidentally forget at home.
