Did anyone witness the crash (Blue R6) that happened on the (next to) last session in the Intermediate Group Sunday?

That is my stepson, that got taken to the hospital.
He sustained multiple breaks in his right foot and 3 dislocated toes. He should be okay after the winter break.

I'm glad to hear he will heal up. That is a very nasty place to fall. I picked up the bike and was glad to see he could tell me he was with Pumpkin Head (Tom).
I know of a couple of riders that were right behind him and they will probably let you know if they saw it or not.

Thanks for letting us know how he is.

I was directly behind the blue R6 that crashed at the exit of turn 4 on top of the hill. The bike appeared to loose traction of the rear wheel, just past the top of the hill, witch resulted in slide. When the rear tire regained traction it send the rider flying to the left of the bike and the bike sliding and spinning in the middle of the track. I was so close to the crash that I luckily seen the rider for just very little time as he got out of my view and my path. As for the bike, I can't tell you how I have kept from not hitting it. It sure was the very closest I have ever come up on somebody's crash.

I'm so very glad that Your stepson will be OK, and also that I was able to get by without making it any worst.

That sounds exactly like my crash on Sunday June 10, except that mine occurred coming down the hill in Turn 2-3. I also had multiple fractures/dislocations in my foot (my left), but also landed so hard on my ass that I sustained a left Sacral fracture to my pelvis. Not fun. My pelvis is now completely healed, although I still have residual aches and general weakness in that whole area. The foot (complete with 5 titanium screws) is another story - still sore and with somewhat limited range of motion, especially in the toes. I figure it will be another several months before it is fully healed and close to normal.

    Billy,
good to hear that you are healing up, how is the bike? Are you going to be ready for 2008 March Barber?
It would be nice to see you in the seat soon.

Thanks a lot George. I'm almost finished with the repairs on the bike - only have a tank, mid pipe and steering damper left to buy. My body and bike will definitely be ready for Barber in March. I just wonder if my mind will be right when I finally do get back out there, especially through 2 and 3...
