5 days! Man, I am excited. And according to the latest forecast, weather should be about perfect. Mostly sunny, 70 degrees, and only a 10% chance of rain. That is great news, especially considering we just had our worst snow storm of the season 2 days ago. I was worried the whole weekend would be a bust.
Man I'm jacked up to get back on the track , no place better than Barber to kick it off. ( Yeah I ran Jennings in January but Barber is the way to start off a new year) Will there be tire service on friday afternoon/evening?
Can't wait! Barber is my favorite track. Keep an eye out for when I roll the ninja 250 race bike out for a session or two (yes, you read that correctly, ninja 250).
I've seen three different predictions. That is the downside of long term forecasts. Looking forward to Barber!
Hey guys and gals, How about next week you tell some stories about how good the weekend was..Maybe a video or two...Just something to make these winter blues go away. Well, at least until April when I get the chance to go to Barber..! Anyway, tear it up and keep the rubber side down...
Just did my shopping..... First time in my Life when the Gas was more than the groceries... Shoot I remember when VP was cheaper than regular is now.....HOWEVER... I AM READY!!!!! See you guys Friday Night....
If I'm not camping out at the track can I get in Friday evening for tire service? Sorry if this has been covered already...
Local Forecast Latest, Wednesday 6:00, is 70% chance of rain Saturday mostly morning with high of 72, 10% on Sunday high of 66. Lows at 45.
Yeah, the forecast kinda took a turn for the worse, but hopefully it just some AM showers and clears up early. At least the temperatures look nice. So what's the deal with riding in the rain? I know it's a judgement call for the organization, but how bad does it need to be before they won't let you ride. I'm not a big fan of riding in the wet, but I guess it's good practice on how to be smooth.
Riding in the rain can be some of the best fun you can have. Your positioning has to be changed a little keeping the bike more upright and hanging off a little more... The Show will go on as long as there is no lightning from what I understand..Remember its only a Forecast... I think its going to sprinkle Friday PM then clear out for us on SAT am... I wouldn't worry about it until you pull out of the Pits... Then just change your riding style accordingly... Oh and Rain X is a beuatiful thing....
Slicks or Dot's don't mix with rain. My wife refuses to ride in it so i get to take the 600 out with Pilot powers.
Heading out of here soon.. Looks like the weather is gonna pass through and there is a 40% Chance of NO Rain tomorrow!!!
im trying to stay positive on the weather situation but i just fitted slicks last weekend and now im looking at a big green and red blob on the weather radar that is headed directly at birmingham. blow wind blow damn it!!
What a fantastic weekend! Other than Saturday morning, the weather was perfect. Too many crashes, however. STT staff, You did a fantastic job keeping things on schedule and cleanin up the wrecked bikes quickly. Thanks again for the two up session. Gina and I had a blast running the track together. I had more fun this weekend than I have had in a while. SBTT rocks!!!
