My first STT day was 6/7 at Road America, and to be honest, I wasn't impressed. The I group had far too many incidents, and people breaking the rules clearly stated in the riders meeting. My 2nd STT day came 6/12 at BHF... a LED day.

I have to say I was THOROUGHLY impressed by EVERYTHING on the 12th. The day was well run, there were far fewer red flags, and I got gaster! I feel that Rob and K3 did a phenomenal job at the rider's meeting, which set the standard for a great day.

David Kim was kind enough to take some time with me and show me where I could drop some time, He helped me drop from :28s to :23s... My goal for the day was just to get under :25! I didn't get the rest of the CR's names, but at least 3 others (Matt? Slacker?) were over working with us and others in our pit area. David and others also helped my buddy (Luke) get from the :24s to consistent :20s, so I am not the only one who benifited from their coaching. Every person I talked to throughout the day had a great experience. Thanks to the STT crew for running a first class event. I will be back out Sunday at Autobahn, and hope for more of the same!

I'm glad I could help out, Tom. You and Luke were really putting things together well out there and made my job really easy. All I had to do was ride in front and you guys did the rest. I've got to admit, though... I'm still sore from Monday.

I guess the next time I'll see you guys is at Road America in August.

Tell Luke I'll get him the info. on the Pirelli fronts after this weekend. My guy is getting good stuff after the AMA Miller round.

Nice job Dave! That's what I'm talking about! Woo Hoo! THAT is exactly why we coach!

Seriously. I say this constantly. As coaches, we LIVE to help you guys & gals find those seconds. When we can help, it makes our whole day! At an LED, if no one asks for my help, I just go out stalking in the pack, looking for riders who need guidance.

It's up to you folks! Use us coaches like hired help, because that's exactly what we are. Your trackday dollars pay for our track time too, so don't be shy about asking for our help!

    THANK YOU!!

Road America started off bad and kind of went downhill from there. RA is basically a land missile convention.

August is going to be different.... this we promise. People breaking rules.... done, we're taking stickers off bikes and sending them home. Zero tolerance.

Thanks for the kind words and the observations of your RA event with us as well.
