Just got a lap timer and was noticing my comfort level and laptimes jumped up after lunch considerably. After getting passed by white plate POLICE guys I got my laptimes down to 121's and 122's consistency. Took me a minute to realize the emitter was on the other side. Excited to see if I can pull off consistent times without white plate folks pulling me thru next.

What is a good time for Black Hawk Farms for both the White plate vs yellow plate AMA or WIRA racers?

    Damd this is fun.

AMA and WERA do not run at BHF, but during CCS races, the really really fast guys are at 1:10's and consistent 1:11's. Mid-pack is 1:15-1:17's in Expert. Most fast Amateurs are around 1:14-1:15's but there's always a couple of really fast anomalies every year.

You can look up race laptimes for CCS here: http://laptimes.dorightsoftware.com/laptimes/scripts/
unfortunately they still haven't posted the last two weekends at Blackhawk. :(

1:21's are not bad though. There's a big spread in times for the amateurs and there are some running 1:24-1:26's in Middleweight.

Well now I think Ill keep a diary so when I get to a track again Ill have reference points (where to turn) and ill keep track of lap-times. This past track time I just focused on committing to the turn as I come in braking hard. I over run a couple of turns before lunch and the flag-ers freaked out. I just told the event planners I am practicing coming in hot and trying to stay smooth. Maybe next time I can shave 4 seconds?

Thanks for the CCS lap-time link. I spent 20 minutes looking at that.

Hey... aint there a turn called the truck stop at Grattan?

Heh, nope, that would also be called the "bus stop" like T3a at Blackhawk. Popular name for any turn that really slows you down. At Blackhawk, it's easier to call it the bus stop than explaining that when they added that bit (the track used to go straight from T3/carousel to T4, talk about dangerous) they didn't bother renaming/numbering all the corners... Blackhawk really has 12 turns, not 7.
