Anybody know if there is a boot manufacture that makes them with larger calf sizes. I tried on boots from Joe Rocket, Oxtar, Fieldsheer, Sidi, Set Up and Alpinestars and they all requred me to go up two sizes to get the top of the boot to close. I normally wear size 12 but the only boots I can get to work are 14s. This is a problem because I end up with an extra inch or so of toe room, which will probably drag on the track. I'm not huge or anything. I'm 6'2" and weigh about 235 lbs. Any ideas?

I'd start with Troy Stone's calf workout regiment! ;-)

(I was laughing so hard I could hardly type that.)

Did you try the Sidi Vertigo Corsas with the adjustable calf system? Unfortunately I am 6'4 155 and with it adjusted as small as it goes and pants inside it still flops around on my leg. :(

    boots

I don't think I tried on the Sidi's because the price was a little steep. They are almost $400 at kneedraggers.com. Do any of the other Sidi models come with adjustible calves... I need boots!

These may be off-shoot boots, but these were my first pair and I have kept them for spares. These boots actually have more comfort, adjustability and protection than the next pair of boots I bought which were basic AStars.

My opinion, you will be very happy with them for a guy with large calves and not wanting to spend too much money. Well with the 110.00!!

I had a tough time finding boots when I had big calves and wide feet (per Stone workout tape). I found Teknic Violator boots to allow for both.

The Vega must be an older model. I have not seen that advertisement before. But for $10.00, I think go newer if you are headed in that direction.

I also found a bunch of Sidi Vertebra boots on ebay. They are not current models like the Vertigos but are cheaper as a result. I'm still not sure if the calves are adjustible like the Vertigos. If they are then they will be mine! Any idea if they are.

I don't know about the Vertebras but I just realized the non-Corsa Vertigos (275 vs. 400) still have the calf adjustment system. I got mine from www.newenough.com - they have some info on there...

Give either myself a call at 712-546-7747 or call Brian at Sportbike Track Gear and we can help you with some good pricing on Sidi's if needed. Have you tried Gaerne yet?
