What brake pads do you use for the track? The reason I ask is because I replaced the pads on my track bike maybe 8 track days ago and they already need replaced. They are EBC HH. Is that normal? How long do you typically get from a set of pads?

    8 Days or 8 Weekends?

8 Days sounds a little short for HH's... 16 Days is about right... I run the new EBC's and love them...

8 days. They aren't down to the metal or anything but there's about 1/3 left and looks like its time to replace them. Are you using the EPFA or the GPFA EBCs?

If you're using the regular HH pads junk them. The EPFA or GPFA are the hot tamales. I've used a set of the EPFA's for an entire season and they're still good to go.

Vesrah RJL, SRJL, or SRJL-XX are also great pads.

Vesrah XX - Last over a season still have life left. I've put 30 days on a set and they still had life left... Oh and they have excellent progressive feel and will not fade. They cost a fortune.

So if picking between EBC EPFA or vesrah RJL which would be the way to go? Looks like the EBC cost almost double. Is it worth the extra cost? I'm not opposed to spending $$$ if its worth it. Looks like there is also cl xbk5 pads that cost about 215 a set. Again looking for value not just trying to spend $$$.

Well each manufacture has different level pads at different price points, you're compairing vesrah's lowest cost pad with one of EBC's most expensive. As you spend more you get increased consistancy and life expectancy normally. If you want a more fair comparison compare the EPFA with the -XX, both are great pads and will last, both cost a lot.

Doesn't appear that they make the xx for my bike. Looks like I'm going to go with the EPFAs.
    Thanks for the help.

No way the EPFA's are that expensive. RJL's are $100 a set and EPFA's are around that I thought.

The SRJL and SRJL XX are def. some pricey pads but if you only need one set for a year that's not a bad investment.

Yep 06zx6rr all I seen available was RJL And the EPFA.

I was going off what was listed on STG. But when picked for my specific bike the RJL are 143 and the EPFA are 178

When initially looking the RJL are listed as $99 for the set. But for my bike they are 143 for the set.

How are your rotors holding up with the race pads?
