Having a bent fairing stay to deal with at the moment, I was wondering if any of you out there have come up with creative replacements to your fairing stays rather than trying to fix one that is broken or buy one off ebay? The one I have right now is bend-back-into-placeable but I have seen threads on creative ways to replace other things (e.g., undertrays) and just wanted to tap into other's experiences.

    Thanks,

    Adam O.

Plus have you ever tried to bend a break or clutch lever back when it's bent. SNAP!!!

Sorry, I meant undertail, not undertray. Too early in the morning.

GP Tech's are great, really the only way to fly, IMHO. Sadly, neither GP Tech, nor STG have them listed for your bike. Ditto on the Vortex being garbage- if you bend them, they're toast.

Have by any chance been talking to Kozy lately??? Sounds like a language he would understand!!

If you are confused dont worry, seek out kozy at a trackday, and talk to him for a few mins... you will understand then... and laugh the rest of the day at the new words and phrases you will learn!!!

In my attempt to understand why everything relates to 2.2 volts I was walking through the Home Depot in the plumbing department and this idea came to me. I thought it may be useful to any others who bend up a fairing stay and don't want to spend $150 or so to replace it. It only took me about 1 hour to actually make it. I did make a prototype in PVS however.

Now I just need to clean it up a bit, paint it and put a couple of rubber washers at the mounting points.

Why paint, I'm sure the bike's owner will be eager to ride with such a stunning and innovative solution. :D
