Thanks. Regardless of where it is made, it is a really good looking suit. I like the additional Titanium sliders.
TDJ us just a Facebook group Chris. I didn't comment about the actual answer because I didn't know it. There was just a bunch if mud slinging about several brands with no real confirmation or dental by the owner when he chimed in. I personally don't really get the whole hang up on American made. It's nice to support America companies when you can, but I simply wanna know if I hit the ground in your stuff will my tail be black or pink when I stop sliding... Lol. That being said, it was funny to watch them all go back and forth until the mod deleted the post. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
I knew what TDJ was, i am a member of that group. I just dont remember seeing that particular thread.
whoops, I didn't see your Q until today. As you have probably figured out they are American companies that get their stuff made overseas. I think this was a recent move for hazardous, though. There doesn't seem to be much support at the club level from the big name brands like A*. That's why I'll be looking at companies like Hazardous, Spartan, and LHM when it comes time for a new suit.
Nope, you will be hard pressed to get support directly from Alpinestars, Dainese etc. You would have better luck trying to get support from a vendor that sells those suits.
There was a really, REALLY weird thread about Lionheart suits over on Triumph675.net also. Basically some guy came in showing off his custom suit. Very basic internet sleuthing about the photos and the user showed that it was the owner of the company based off of posts on another forum. The thread got deleted but several people, myself included, basically said "It's okay if you want to show off your suit manufacturer, just don't act like it's not yours" or something to that effect. The guy continued denying he was affiliated with them... Then someone else comes into the thread claiming to be the owner of the company saying that some guy is going around forums giving them a bad name and he's trying to take legal action against him... To me it just seemed like really poorly handled damage control. I actually could have sworn Spartan Leathers were made in Afghanistan. I also don't get hung up on the whole Made-in-America thing. You can have good quality control in other places just like you can have bad quality control in the US. I was really happy with my Spartan Leathers when I had them though.
