This is really interesting... I see many more electric cars, and possibly mainstream bikes in the future. The lithium batteries have much greater capacity than previous battery technology, and brushless electric motors are many more times powerful then equivalent sized brushed motors. Right now the batteries are cost prohibitive, but as we have seen with computer technology it will get cheaper as more companies manufacture them with greater economies of scale and eventually cheaper raw materials. In the smaller scale radio control modeling world, electric powered airplanes and helicopters now rival fuel powered models for performance and run time. Who's gonna be the first to bring one of these to the track????
