Top is easy, the rest are tough becuase I can't get to them often enough.

    1. Barber, nothing else is close.
    2. Autobahn North
    3. Blackhawk
    4. Grattan
    5. Tally

Nashville would be #6, maybe I will move it up if I make it there in a few weeks.

The question was what is your favorite, indicating one track. Anyhow you will like VIR. Blind corners, up hill, down hill, off camber, off camber down hill esses, a bit of everything. I prefer RA because its faster. As Nicky Hayden once said, racers like to go fast in the corners. That's what RA, WI is all about. I like T13 at RA, a blind up hill left. I'd say its nicer now that the Road & Track bridge is gone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnSQx8cNMyE for an on board look. Running through Kettle Bottoms into Canada corner feels like racing through a tunnel in to a dead end. The Jason Pridmore on board video looks more open than riding it this past July 7th & 8th felt. Could have been because the trees were in full leaf.

I've heard good things of both circuits; Lightning and Thunderbolt, from those that rode motorcycles on them. Having not been there yet and knowing the topography of NJ I can't see there being significant elevelation changes like at VIR.

Sears Point er..., Infineon someday and I still need to get to Mid Ohio.

I'm going to try. It all comes down to money. I expect it to cost me near $4,000 to heat my house this winter. I like to fill the oil tank no later than Oct. 1 because the heating oil prices sky rocket after that. So if that is saved and paid for, then yes. I'll be there but I won't definitively know until the date gets closer.

I will be at the Lightning course on Aug 12th with the CASBK school.

P.S. How about a board for people to give their opinions on the different tracks. Have the board set with the track name at the top so someone who is trying to decide on a track to attend can read about that track.

What brings me to this is a comment about Pocono's East course by some of the STT East staff. It seems people who have not ridden there have a misconception on what its like. What many people don't realize is how much work it is to get around the East course and how good of a school the track is to learn and practice cornering skills. I feel one reason there have been so many crashers at the F-USA track event(s) {not just STT but every motorcycle group that uses it} is that people who aren't good at cornering but think they're fast, show up only for the F-USA event and then go out and crash. I feel that if they spent some time at the East course honing their cornering skills there would be a much less chance of their crashing and a greater amount of fun they would experience [from the 'Big Track'].

I think it's because Ponoco is a few stright aways connect by access roads (I did not coin that phrase) its not a true road cource. I also think you can learn more from a track with fast and flowing turns. Because your in the turn for a longer time and can experiment with lean angle.

I mostly agree; people need to understand that corner entry is corner entry. The same techniques that work in slower corners work in faster corners. This is why the American Super Camp on XR-100s works.

On the East course there are 10 numbered turns and something like 14 direction changes per lap which means a rider is spending more time practicing corning. Its less intimidating going slower and that makes it easier for people to learn cornering. Also, when one crashes at a slower speed the damage to vehicle AND self will be less.

BTW if you want to be leaned over for a long time, say for a day, go to RA and experience their carousel.

    I'd have to say:

    1) Barber
    2) Road Atlanta (a VERY close second...I mean VERY close!)

    I also love JenningsGP.

I haven't ridden a track I don't like yet...but Barber is the Taj Majal of race tracks.

BBQ in Dec in Florida @ Jennings Awesome! Jennings is a fun track flat flat , look out for turtles and don't go off course in the back or we may need to fish your bike out of the lake and you out of the gator.Track is out in nothing land of NFLA might as well be in GA. Unless you camp stay in Valdosta,GA. Has lots of pwr and concrete pads ~ 30 + showers. Fun to camp onsite

I did Jennings in December last year...the week after Christmas.

Weather was nice. Track is fun.

It is flat, but it's a fun track regardless. The back part of the track (turns 5 through 12) and just moto nirvana. Great twisty fun.
