Come on Mario you are an experienced enough rider to know you should NEVER ride at 100% at a track day....LOL That 90% to 100% is where the wrecks happen.

I was looking forward to one day going to I group haha. I think a lot of people do one novice day, then decide to skip the novice group just so they don't have to do the classroom portion. Then they probably get in over their head but are to embarrassed to ask to be moved back down to novice.

Why are you guys riding at 100 percent on a trackday 100 percent of the time? How are you still alive?

Try to limit yourself to a few hard laps each session, and 90 percent the last session of the day for that "perfect lap" whenever everyone else is tired and is heading home early (you have the track to yourself). Unless you are an Olympic athlete, I doubt you would be alive after lunch if you rode 100 percent for 3-4 full sessions.

I guess it depends on the measurement system... In my math mind riding over 100% is where people crash, 100% is the fastest comfortable pace I can ride... maybe apply a 0.9x factor to my numbers to match yours :bounce:

I think some people confuse 100% effort with 100% riding ability.

You mean 100% ambition vs. 100% ability...

there's a difference in riding 100% and riding over your head. I ride as hard as I can giving the conditions like how much tire I have left, working on a particular thing, traffic or fatigue.

When getting ready to go out for a session last year, I had run to the bathroom and was hurrying to get a jersey on before going out and accidently grabbed Peggy's jersey and put it on. For whatever reason, they are both XL in size, so it fit. It wasn't until I was out on the grid and ready to go onto the track that someone pointed out that I had on the wrong jersey..............My name PEGGY.......just like the commercial!
