kirk...was your pm talking about his post? no, i wasn't flaming you...just disagreeing with your advice. you can't go recommending a genny that you walked by on some shelf at sam's club as comparable to a honda or yamaha. it is horrible advice and rings contrary to everybody else's advice. everyone agrees that the best thing is to spring for a good (confirmed) quiet generator. the only two that regularly have proven at the track to meet that bill are the honda and yamaha. all other genny's save the purchaser some money but suck for all the other riders around them because of the stupid noise. it's hard enough to convince people to spend the extra cash for the right one with this type of uninformed advice being tossed at them.
