Things must be happening at EBR? Sept 14 their will be a new rock video featuring the 2011 EBR 1190RS. Ck out this link and get you new 1190RS shirts. http://www.ratpakrecordsamerica.com/erikbuell
I would love to have a 1190rs, this bike is going to be a beast. I listened to an interview with Geoff May where he stated that the 1190rr is the fastest bike he has ever ridden. That says a whole lot! I have a feeling it will take about 40k to get one. That is a little to rich for my blood, so I won't be giving up the XB12 any time soon. Are you going to be at Barber?
Id rock one.... I am hoping he will have one up at his new shop MPH which is only 10 Miles from me BTW there Grand Opening is next weekend!..
The 1190 isn't legal for AMA SBK, that is still the 1125RR from last year. I saw him running the 1190 at Road America for the CCS/ASRA races and let me tell you it was FAST. Edit: if you don't believe me, ask any of the other guys that he LAPPED in a 4 lap sprint race at RA because they combined a lightweight race and SuperTwins. For the record - no other supertwins riders were close to lapping guys, just the 1190.
He caught me on lap 3 coming out of Canada...there were 3 amateurs in front of me and a few experts and that's it (Was CCS LW Supersport and Supertwins) .... he went by so fast they didn't have the checkered out for him even - the 1190 is a beast I'm sure (I'm not that slow in the first place...) as he caught 85ish percent of the LW field in 3 laps
menomonee falls  On2wheels is correct i believe they are going sell these in the hopes of making the 1190 ama legal next year
Wow....that's definitely a teaser. Only a very brief glimpse of the new bike. :? I can't wait to see the whole thing! It does say it's only part 1.....

I was at Barber for the races last weekend and has an opportunity to speak with Erik Buell and Geoff May, and they confirmed the 1190rs and 1190rr will be built and next year Geoff will be riding the 1190rr in AMA superbike. The Barber race showed the superior handeling qualities of the Buell design, and shold have put to rest any doubts about the ZTL2 brake system. If Geoff would not have been ran off the track the Buell would have been on the podium. Well that is racing, can't wait for next season.
I am anxious to see this monster and how the japs scramble to deal with it. Daytona is too far away, guess not for Eric.
Glad to see a twin that can challenge. Are the twins getting better, or AMA's rules just keeping the 4-cyl bikes corked up? Pegram is going to need some extra help from DNA. With Ducati pulling their factory team from W-SBK, They supposedly are upping their privateer support. Anything about KTM in AMA that is credible? Love the look of the RC8R track bike.
Great news for Buell fans, the 1190rs is in the process of being homolgated by the AMA, should know any day now. Woo Hoo!
Here is the latest info, from EBR facebook page: Erik Buell Racing: Juggling lots of stuff here! About a week away from starting final EPA testing; getting ready to pick someone to paint the first marketing bikes; prepping 1125 stuff for daytona, start putting together the initial assembly area next week...kinda like the old days with very small numbers of hand built bikes. The 1190rs is going to be a reality, we have a new American Sportbike that can compete on the world stage and win!!
