Luigi Dall'igna finally signed with Ducati Corse, ending his long association with Aprilia. ! http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/wsbk/gigi-dall-igna-general-manager-ducati-corse/#more-48210 Does this pave the way for Nicky to come back to Honda? Dall'igna seemed to be the lynchpin between Aspar and Aprilia. Without Dall'Igna, Aspar may have concerns that Aprilia will be unwilling to spend money to develop a top level package in MotoGP. Aspar have already been perusing Honda's customer MotoGP bike for next year, and American Honda may be willing to pony up $$$ to get Nicky a ride on just such a machine with a top level team (Aspar). Is this a foregone conclusion? Is it just me? Have I been reading too much SuperBike Planet? -Tom
I just red on a German MotoGP news page that Aprilia doesnt seem to have the cash for a full on factory support. That been said the whole deal with Aspar might be falling thru. It was speculated the Nicky might be out as well. But if they get one of the Hondas that would be great with Nicky on it!
