Who has stayed in a hotel around Grattan?
My wife is coming to the track with me next weekend, and she doesn't like to sleep in the tent.

Thanks in advance for any and all info.

The Stonebed aka Candlestone Inn is closest, in Belding. Further east In Ionia, there's an Amerihost. Nice thing about that place is that there's a go-cart track across the road & the operator can be bribed to take off the speed restrictors and pretend to not notice that you're completely hammered...
There's a lot more to the west in the Grand Rapids suburbs, that's also comparitively more luxurious, but also more expensive. I haven't stayed out that way, I usually camp at the track or at the stonebed.
    Cheers,
    Lance

28th st. and I-94 in Grand Rapids has the usual selection of chains, including lower priced fare. Haven't stayed there in a number of years, but do recall that it didn't take that long to get to the Grattan in the a.m. since you can pick up M-44 right off 28th and head for Belding.

You can also try the Winter Inn in Greenville. (616) 754-7108. nice little mom and pop type place with a restaurant downstairs. Kinda old and creaky, but better beds than the 'stone.
