Don't miss out on the premier track weekend in our region. STT puts on a great show every year and for the 3rd consecutive year, Ducs Unlimited is co-hosting this event with STT.

This event features 3 days of riding on a tight, fun and challenging road course called Gingerman Raceway (most of you already know this) and the track is located near South Haven, Michigan. The track is located about 2 hours and 45 minutes west of Detroit and is a short distance from beautiful South Haven which is on Lake Michigan.

Last year our club boasted 24 participating riders over the 3 day event plus numerous spectators. Monte and Bonnie will be providing a live band and pit bike races on Saturday evening along with an excellent BBQ dinner for a minimal charge. There will be tire service, suspension service and other vendors attending throughout the weekend.

When compared to some other events, the meals and facilities at Gingerman are top notch. The track allows camping for a minimal daily fee. They have two shower/bathroom facilities, a concession stand, fuel tanks and are only minutes away from South Haven.

    Here is the track layout:

This 1.88 mile track has two straightaways that connect 11 corners.

  2. I WILL BE AT THAT ONE!!!! I am paying as soon as my direct deposit goes through tonight. Also speaking of joint track club events I really thought that the Section 8 STT joint event at Grattan was AWESOME this weekend. My dad came and he loved it!! I've had some people get bored at the track watching and then there was my dad who just stared at the track and talked to people all weekend. He really was impressed. If he was younger and didn't have the doctor tell him if he broke his leg again he would never walk again something tells me he would get curious    Anyway, enough of the babbling I will be looking forward to this one too.

Same here, I can't wait. This will be my first track day. I think I'll come up saturday and camp that night for my track day on Sunday.

  4. Hey, now that I'm going to that one too I will keep an eye out for your bike.

Cool, look forward to meeting you and everyone else who is going. Probably be driving a red Colorado up there.

  6. Sounds good.

  7. We'll have a number of large canopies full of bikes and Desmo Owners Club schwag, flags etc.... so stop by and say hi. :p I'm really looking forward to this event as my brother is driving from Mass. just to do this track weekend!

You bet i'll stop buy. Check out your bikes. I'm pretty sure i'll be looking for a track bike next year. 600 honda would do for me just fine. I'm also wanting to see how the 919 handles. I know it's really not a sport bike, but man i have a blast on it. Can't wait!

    K3 What's an apex?

This is always one of the best weekends on the STT schedule. I can't wait! I'll be coaching in the novice group for at least a couple of the days, probably as Lead Instructor. The Saturday night party is a blast, and Gingerman is known for it's awesome sunsets and night sky full of stars. Nothing a cold beer wouldn't enhance, mind you!

    Aaaaaaaaaa....dammmmmmmm.....

    Giiiinnnnnnn....german..........

By lead instructor you mean you'll be instructing group number 1. I'm going to start out in Group 4 just to be safe. Then after a couple sessions, look out...lol....Who knows, I might end up in group one. i'm not affraid to lay the bike down. I know thiers more to it than that, form and all that good stuff, but If i can get all that down, then add some knee draggin, It's all good.

Man, this is going to be a long couple of weeks. Plus I'll be at grattan this weekend to pick up some tires. that won't help....lol...

    K3 What's an apex?

No, Lead Instructor means that I'll be giving the classroom lectures for the Novice group. I don't know for sure what number group I'll be leading.

  12. racerk3, have you been instructing at Grattan too? I've been having a great time there this summer in the Novice group. I've been to 3 events there and have had several instructors. I can say that all have been very helpful and patient with us beginners. I wonder if I've been in your group. I have a red SV 1000s.

I'm going to sign up for the fest and rally but I'm just trying to decide if I want to go 2 or 3 days. Any recommendations?

I was only to Grattan for the first STT event of this year. Your lead instructors have likely been Justin or Mike, two of the guys who showed me the ropes!

Fact is, anyone who teaches lead is an accomplished rider/coach, and we each bring a different slant to the program. The best scenario is to get the opportunity to experience different lead instructors, as well as different on-track coaches. Regardless, I firmly believe that with our coaching staff at STT, you can't go wrong!

I LOVE going for all three days. You reach the point where you've actually HAD ENOUGH track time! (Impossible as that may sound....) Besides, I think Monte gives a special price for a 3-day signup, doesn't he?

  14. Did someone say COLD BEER......."Beer it's what's for dinner!!"

Cold beer for dinner! I'm in!

Just signed up for Saturday & Sunday. Looking forward to another great STT weekend.

By the end of this season I should qualify as a professional Novice!

    -Jerry :p

  16. I'll be there on my blue and yellow Hawk. Gingerman should be a fine track to work on my Doctorate of Novice.
