Everyone's assignment for this weekend and the following weeks is to bring one other person onto this forum. We need some life in here (granted it's the off-season, but I like to think of it as the planning-and-prep season!). So go forth and bring more STT members (or potential members) on here. Make 'em post up and say hi, then brow-beat them into staying here, coming out for lots of events, draining their bank accounts, never being home on the weekends, soon to be strangers to their own family, develop marital problems and poor performance reviews at the office!
I don't think the forum has been publicized much. Other than the small link on the website, I think most people have found out by word of mouth. Someone could notify people via e-mail addresses from track day registration forms.
+1 I didn't realize the forum was here until just a few weeks ago. Ninjagirl219 posted a link on the SV board. Not sure how many of those guys are lurking around here. It'd be nice to see some more action around here. Seems to be a great group of people out at the track when I'm there. 8)
I'd like to see a more eye-catching link on the STT website. Now granted... I'm old and my eyesite is failing, but that little itty bitty link is easily overlooked. FYI: I'm putting together a "Bike-Night" in the Ypsi/Ann Arbor area on Wednesdays starting this spring in the club parking lot with lots of loose women, cheap pizza and energy drinks. We're right off I-94 exit 181. This means I'll have to go out and buy a damm street bike again!!!
Hey Chuck, do you know about tuesday nights, at Aubreys, in Depot Town (ypsi)? we get a pretty good turnout there, 30+ bikes on a good night. not Royal oak, but it's allright. Cheers, Lance
Thanks Dennis, I'm lookin' at a 7250. That new 8700 is very kool but not supported by Verizon yet. Hi Gigantic, I did not know that. I stopped riding on the street in 2004 so I'm not down wit it. Thinkin maybe slap a license on my 73 Norton Commando or maybe look for a used Beemer. I'm organizing a ride from the club to Jason Etters Ducati dealership (Section 8 Superbike) sometime in May. Section 8 will do a suspension clinic, someone with STT will pitch trackdays and maybe giveaway a free trackday. I'm also talking wit Scooter Trash about puttin on a little show in the parking lot later that day. Think anyone would be interested?
Chucken, there's also a bike night in downtown Ann arbor on wednesdays, more people show up, but i can't say that the businesses make us feel very welcome. L
No worries. All posting is good posting at this point. Is it March yet???? Of course you realize that once it gets within 2 weeks of the first event I'll suddenly remember 30 things I wanted to do before then. .
Yea Mary, I know what you mean. I have had these new brake lines sitting on my workbench for 3 months now, probably won't install them until the night before I ride......WAIT....I'm gonna do that right now.....THANK YOU....Bill ps....do I need to get some Motul RBF6oo brake fluid, or just use what the owners manual reccommends?
