I don't have all the details just what I heard through TSBR and maybe Gigantic will fill in more details later. News has it he went down pretty hard at Grattan today. He was taken to the hospital for some serious injuries but sounds like he is goin to be ok(thank god) with a couple months of recovery.... I just wanted to wish him speedy recovery and I'm sure others will too.
Lance, Sorry to hear you went down. Be sure to let us know how you're doing. We can swap stories about crashing at Grattan. Get well soon.
details i heard (about 5th hand, i'm sure)... t1 second lap of first session. ended up with broken collar bone and punctured lung. again...don't know that's the facts...i just heard that. lance...here's to some quick healing, brother. get better.
Thanks guys. basically what Jig said, + 3 broken ribs and a mild concussion. I think I ran through a puddle on the straight that may have coled my tires down, I'm not sure though. the bike can be fixed, Thanks to everyone that helpd get it loaded for me! I'm home now and feeling ok, just a little bit sore. I'll most likely be out until July. hopefully I can either sell or reschedule the dates that I've got booked already. anyone want to hit the Beaver this Sat & Sun? drop me a P.M. cheers, Lance
Bet you caused a "Gigantic Divot!" But, really, I hope the hospital let you keep those sexy white stockings. They will go perfectly with your kilt! Get better soon, Bud. We'll all miss you in the meantime.
I thought that I'd see you there on Sunday, then Jig told me that you fell and went "boom" on Saturday. Glad to read you're (for the most part) okay. My prayers for your quick and complete recovery. H.
Like I said on the CF - Michigan forum, man, I was so bummed to hear about your get off on Friday before my day. Even though I haven't met you in person when I heard the news, I felt like it was one of my close friends who fell and got hurt. I really hope you heal well and fast.
I'm glad you're ok. I was hoping to meet you at beaver run, but I guess I will have to wait until later this summer. It's a bummer, but it's good to hear you're ok.
thanks again, everyone for the support. it really means alot to me. really. I got the bikes unl;aded this evening. the front brake was completely mushy, leading me to think that brake failure might explain why the cornerworkers & ambulance personel told me i was going 120mph when i crashed... while I have been known to exhibit a lack of restraint in the past, I'd been doing well, so far this year in holding back. since I have no memory of the accident, I'm a little confused as to the how, what and why of it all. I had swapped the stock master cyclinder, for a radial MC... i wonder if this is a contributing factor, or a red herring? either way I'm solely to blame for the incident, i just wish i had a better understanding of what happened, so i can better learn from it. cheers, (ouch!) Lance
I'll be getting a plate put in, I'm not sure when, though. waiting on a call from Uof M Med-Sport clinic to know when I have surgery. will titanium make me faster, stonger, & lighter? I've head that titanium adds 6 hp. automatically... I'll be in good hands, though. On the walls of the clinic, amidst all the photos of many of the athletes that have been treated there, were autographed pictures of Dirt-Track legends Chris Carr and Jay Sprinsteen!
boy, you sure know how to kick a man when he's down. have you met my wife? for the record, my specialty is lawn mowing. on a motorcycle.
