It was cold enough this morning to freeze the nuts off of a steel bridge...... and it's supposed to be colder in the morning. I'm ready for some "hot and dusty"
I rode yesterday for about 30 minutes, that was about all I wanted to do, hands where freezing. I don't like getting all bundled up to ride. Looking forward to March, EBR should be ready by the end of the month, I am ready now!!!!
I took the 2 year old out on the Grom for about 25 minutes. That is all I could stand. He was still ready to ride! Snot was streaming out of his nose and he was like, "No dada, keep going!" as I was pulling into the garage.
When I was a senior in high school (about 100 years ago...give or take a few), I got my first motorcycle. I was bound and determined to ride it every day, as long as it wasn't raining/snowing/icy. So, like a total dumbass, I left the house one winter morning for my 4.5 mile ride to school..........it was 5 degrees......just one of many dumb things I've done in my life. Never again!
The coldest I've ever been in my life was riding my (new) '74 RD350 from Norfolk to Richmond. 90 miles.
Back in the 80's when I was in the millitary the only transportation I had was my motorcycle, road year round. I road in the cold because I had to, now I have a choice, and I choose not to. I really hate the cold!
same thing lol senior in HS went and got my first bike on new years eve day, it was 15 degrees with snow on the forecast, as soon as i get to the seller's house it starts snowing, do i load it on the truck or trailer? NO i rode that b*tch home 30 miles ... my brother had to pry me off the bike like dumb and dumber after we got home, i sold my hoopty car so i could afford the exhaust and other trick parts for the bike haha the bike became my daily driver .. i gave zero f*cks
The worstI did was a 5 hour ride ffrom LA to Las Vegas. It gets a lotccolderthan you wwould think in the mountains at night. At one point it was 30 degrees out.
Cold , icy and major wind gusts here in North Ga... I just drove my daughter to work and the roads were good for front wheel drive.. Time to clean a 17 year old engine and drink a few brews....
