I had my on board video camera working at Monticello North on 6/22, and was able to get some lap times...I don't have a real lap timer yet. Was in the Int group, doing between 1:37-1:39s on the better laps. I don't really know how to gauge myself since I don't know what anyone else was doing. Here's a short clip for anyone interested. http://s877.photobucket.com/albums/.../?action=view¤t=MonticelloNorthccw4.mp4
Nice video, you can really see the track. post a link on the Sportbike track time eastern facebook page.
Wow that sounds quick. What bike were you riding madkaw, and which group? Yeah I was following Jaimie for a little...well trying to at least haha. That dude is faaaaast!!! What would be like a solid INT time and ADV time?
I have the fugly 2005 Blue and Orange Kawi ZX6R. Jamie and I were both coaching on Tuesday so I was basically running Novice and Advanced Groups and occasionally Intermediate. Yeah, Jamie's pretty fast and to tell you the truth he really helps me pick up my pace. It would be beneficial for you to try to hook up with a faster rider and learn from their race lines, reference points, braking markers, etc... You'll get there man. It takes practice practice practice. Keep it up and I hope to see ya out at the next event. Jeff
Hmmm, I don't remember seeing your bike. I was talking with Jaime for a bit though and I did manage to pick up on some of his lines for the short time I was behind him. Trying to find guys running a faster pace out on the track didn't work so well. There was a really wide range of speeds in my group. Next time I'll ask to ride with one of the coaches. Tony
I was running 128 on a 93 hp 2007 600rr in advanced group. Bike ran like shit all day. Still have not fixed the problem. Great track and layout though. I ran a few laps with a group of coachs. i posted the vdeo on youtube. Monticello 6-22 STT advanced group. It is obvious when u watch the vid how far down on hp i am they leave me sitting still on the straights. That guy on the 1k was fast as hell...
