I see the forecast for Barber this Sunday promises r**n, so I'm scrambling to decide on some last minute scuba gear. Any recommendations would be very welcome. And no I don't have r**n tires, I'm running power3s which did fine at a wet road Atlanta after the nasty t-storm.
Breadbags over socks then boots on..... Hefty with 3 Holes for upper Body.... Ziptie around front guard of helmet so visor will stay cracked for no fogging The rain is a blast to run in.. Dont sweat it... Just dont trail brake with DOT's and do alot of short shifting and mucho hanging off with the bike in a more upright position as usual!! Have a Blast....
Noted. I had considered a cheap waterproof jacket from somewhere like walmart, I used to have one for boating that was awesome. Might still do that.
Yeah but you will be more wet underneath from the sweat than the rain.... The Hefty works great until you hit the Mach 3 speeds and get black flagged as it desentigrates....:lmao::lmao:
I'll check them out, I think the one I used to have was Ozark trail and it worked great in the wind on a boat.
Wont those keep your hands trapped on the clip ons in a mishap? Edit... nevermind.. I was thinking of Hippo Hands
There's a Bass Pro Shop right outside the front gate at Barber. They sell low end all the way up to more than you'll want to spend on rain gear.
If your boots are not waterproof then some duct tape over the vents. Won't stop the perforation but it might keep your boot from filling. Extra gloves if you have them so you can rotate sets. Fans to dry stuff if you have power. Extra clothes so you can swap to a dry set for the ride home. Also if you have TC remember to bring something to drop new settings in (including the cable). If you run cams and have a waterproof housing.
