I've had Barnacle Bills sew some stuff on leathers before and they do great repair work .... http://www.racingleather.com/home/home.html
BB does mighty fine work from what I've heard. I VERY HIGHLY recommend Alexa at www.spyderleatherworks.com. She's done patch repair, seam repair, alteration of size, sewn patches and helped me design then she created a downright rightiously sweet design that is on my leathers.
+1 on Spyder Leatherworks for sure. The many patches, repairs, alterations, zipper replacements, and custom graphics on my roadweary Vansons have all been performed by Spyder. I've never had Spyder repairs fail in subsiquent crashes.... I trust my skin and bones to no one else! PS, Alexa may remind you of a character in Highside! Pure coincidence, of course!
Thanks ,I am trying to get all this stuff done while Im on my "cough " extended vacation . back to work on monday , I have had a local cobbler fix the seams before .They would unravel with time .This time I need a specalist . K3 , Im gonna have to get your book back from my nephew and read it .I cant wait to see who is in the second book .
Oh yeah! And there's this character called "Monsterous." He's a good natured, affable goof who's crashes are numerous and legendary....
Just as long as there's not a character named Lars Larsen, the mad- giant, kilt wearing ,berserker-Viking chef, who cooks up spectacular soul food, in between sessions at the track...
Another vote for Barnacle Bill. He does excellent work and does his best to make sure you get the suit back to you by the time you need them for.
Leather Works. They've always done repairs on my old leathers. Adding new straps, velcro, adding patches/starts, etc. All extremely cheap. They're located in Washington Twp. If you go through them, tell them you know me (Eddie). For some reason, I was like the first person to bring race leathers into their shop (they do a lot of Harley stuff) and they've always taken really good care of any racers that have come in.
Vandyke, just north of 26 mile road. 586.786.3050 is the number if I remember correctly. Leatherworks is the name. They're all extremely nice over there.
