Signed up for my first track day at Little Talledega on 6/28. Pretty excited and nervous! We'll see how the big girl (Concours 14) deals with the track. :wheel:
Welcome to the addiction. Did my first track day at Lil Tally and have been hooked ever since. Some really good folks here to get information from. Enjoy!
Don't feel like you are driving too big of a girl. I've got a ST1300 and gonna try to get her on one here before too long. Have fun with it!
Thanks! I'm sure I'll have fun, but I'm going to have to try to not be too cautious. I definitely don't want to scratch up my bike. One of the biggest draws to STT was the camaraderie in the forum. I'm looking forward to meeting folks and learning from the vets.
This is going to be a very very very good time.... Tally is always the biggest Party of the year.... And this year is going to be bigger due to someones 50th BDAY... No names given...
:cheers:Welcome Wipfel to the addiction. My wife and I both will be there, it is her first track day and only my second. You will not meet a better group of people or instructors. We will be camping at the track so we are looking forward to the party!!
The atmosphere at Tally is awesome. It is almost as if everyone is pitted together. The Tally atmosphere is second only to Nashville IMO. At Nashville, everyone WAS pitted together, literally.
Make sure you report back and let me know how the Concours does. I am curious to know how far towards the "Sport" side of "Sport Touring" the C14 is. I have always taken long distance trips on my Triumph Sprint ST. But i would like something a little more comfortable for those 16hr days, with 10hrs of that on the Interstate. But once i get there, i want to have something that is still relatively fun to ride.
Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I'm looking forward to it! @Chaotic, I'll definitely let you know. The C14 is a great all-round bike. Question, though. Do you guys think I should take off the Canyon Cages? Looking at the second pic, I can't image they would be a problem. I'll only have the front bars, btw, and not the ones by the bags.
I would leave them there. I can't imagine you would be dragging them. Looking forward to seeing you there:thumb:
Not me. Mine are herders and the noise and motion would drive them crazy :fear: The little guy would likely be attached to roof in the motorhome all weekend op:
