im looking to trade my 95 wrangler automatic
    for a track bike.
if anybody wants to trade let me know.
it was running last year now it sits in the garage. i dont drive it anymore
    finally got it fixed,
    i lost interest in it.
has 174k miles, had some motorwork done to it.
and was running fine, did not start or drive it for about 8 months and.
i put a new battery in it and it started right up but just dies when i step on the gas. other than that everything else works.

    Probably a clogged fuel filter.

Worth a shot though and change the filter again, don't take long with todays fuel plus a little water may have gotten in the tank after sitting for a while. It does sound like fuel delivery, it's getting just enough fuel to let it idle.

You shouldn't have too but I'm not sure on that year. The filter should be inside the frame rail towards the back of the vehicle close to the tank or along the frame rail under the drivers door, about the size of a soda can. Be sure to depressurize the system of fuel first or you will get wet.
