Shiney!!!! i love shiney!!! and like cdenley said, each drop of fuel over rattlecan will make the stuff melt. i didn't want that either. it was just so easy to do. i can't find more pics, but i just use cardboard boxes and the sunshine. oh wait, i live in illinois...
i had a set of armour bodies painted by Turn One Racing, don't recall if it was by Joe or not. i was not pleased at all to say the least, and it wasn't cheap.
What type of gun did you use from Sears? I've always been weary about those base model guns but your results look great. Might try that on a set of extra fairings I'm fixing up. As cheap as rattle can is, it can be annoying after the 5th or 6th set you do...
I had their cheapest one. it was $49, small canister. i looked later and saw on amazon the 'more advanced' ones for half the price. something like this. maybe even less fancy. http://www.sears.com/campbell-hausf...p-00988563000P?prdNo=6&blockNo=6&blockType=G6
i first filled it with thinner and practiced for like 3 minutes on a plywood spraying thinner to figure out how the fan went...
Great tip, thanks for the info. Haven't had much spray-gun experience but will definitely try this out next time.
Hell, you know I got you covered on that front. I've got a spray gun, too. As long as you clean up after yourself, you're welcome to use the tools. Cleaning up paint after the job is my least favorite part. The 675 needs a nice deep coat of purple anyway, so maybe we can have a paint party.
purple?!? well, painting may be something i need to know for other stuff i'll explain when i see you. Point being it might be an option to explore.
My rattle can job... This is my 2nd and probably last rattle can job I ever do. I'll post better pics tomorrow. Doesn't work well from my iPad.
