Did anybody read what Rossi has been saying about MM? He brought up incidents from 2 years ago (Laguna Seca 13) He's whining because MM is in his way, maybe MM did deliberately slow down to keep the race tight, so what, either pass them all or STFU. This is completely the opposite of Rossi's normal attitude. Even the look on his face at the press release last week was odd….he's pissed. I don't think this attempt by Rossi to shake up MMs confidence will work. It might have the opposite effect on MM.
I think Rossi made the young fella mad...http://www.motorsport.com/motogp/news/marquez-fights-back-rossi-should-focus-on-lorenzo/
Ok, FP spoiler below!!!!! I CAN NOT WAIT to see this race. I can't believe Rossi finally qualified ahead of Lorenzo. Will be interesting to see what happens psychologically with all this hubbabaloo going on. Meanwhile Pedrosa who is completely outside of all of this quietly qualifies in pole position. Expecting a huge battle between the Hondas and Yamahas with a confident Iannone also in the mix. Man o man, what a season. Nail biter to the end.....
Yes….a lot of anticipation for this race. I just hope nobodies season gets spoiled by a crazy move. Will Rossi retire if he wins the championship?
Would be a nice swan song if he won the championship, but I don't think so. He has always said he will keep racing as long as he's having fun, and despite the drama of the past few weeks, he's having a lot of fun. Not to mention that fact that he's still super competitive.
I'm jacked up about this race as well! I'll be up late tonight (early tomorrow morning)! Rossi has a contract through 2016 so he's definitely not going to retire after this season championship or not. I haven't enjoyed the drama he's put out there but I do want him to win!!!
I think if Rossi wins it all he'll retire, that year contract and salary will not matter. I'd rather see him retire on top than hang around too long. I think this year is taking it's toll on him. MotoGP needs him, hopefully MM can carry on the torch.
wow so vale took out marquez, literally waited for him then kicked him, and now vale starts last at valencia GP, lorenzo has this in the bag, what a disappointing ending, vale f*cked himself
Rossi did the wrong thing trying to slow down Marc...no question about it. BUT...BUT if you look the replay, MARC CAUSED THE FIRST CONTACT!
https://twitter.com/bang10/ marc deff initiated the contact... rossi DID lift his leg to push marc off and well both paid the price.. marc went down and rossi starts at back of the grid
i am hugely disappointed. been a VR fan forever and think that was just a total chump move. sure MM "may" have been holding him back and slowing the pace to allow JL to get away, but racing is racing. there are rules for safety and for sportsmanship and the red mist overwhelmed Vale's judgment. he knew he screwed the pooch even at the end of the race - you could tell by his body language. and his post race press conference where he attempted to defend his "wide line" was laughable. sucks to have lost my idol.
MM made the first contact because he had no choice to. He was being pushed out wide and still "racing" where as VR was looking to push him out and slow him down. I love VR but that was BS. He is completely contradicting his past behavior and race tactics. Hopefully JL can capitalize on this!! He has been on the attack! Oh and hooray for DP on another win!!
I agree. Very disappointed in VR46. If you don't want to be in a battle either speed up or slow down. Don't intentionally force a crash. So much respect lost. Complete switch from hoping VR wins number 10 to hoping he gets crushed.
Actually after the race for third was over it was boring as hell... IMO if Mm let Rossi go it would be good to see VR and JLO get at it... Instead MM slowed 46 up just enought to let the midget and 99 take off... I feel bad for Pedrosa because no one will care who won this one.. It's all about the incedent...
He should retire. Yea MM was playing Rossi, but Rossi went way to far to force MM off the track and kicking him. GOAT status revoked!
I've been trying to be as neutral as possible and I don't think Marquez was as innocent as everyone believes. Prior to the incident there was some other questionable contact by Marquez, let's face it, it's how he rides, reckless and sometimes dangerous. Yes Rossi slowed up apparently to force him outside but there was plenty of track left for Marquez and if Rossi was off the throttle as everyone says MM should have been able to go wider around. Instead Marquez leans into Rossi and clearly makes contact first. In response Rossi pushes back against the contact Marquez made with his leg and MM goes down. I think if you're going to penalize Rossi you have to penalize Marquez too. Both were at fault.
