A while back there was some talk about requiring numbers on bikes for STT events. Has this rule been implemented yet, if not when will it be? Also, will there be a database of registered numbers / per reigon so we can pick one without having to put an X beside the number if someone else has it already? Will there be a minimum size, specific font, number/background color and location of the numbers? Can I just yell out my number each time I pass a corner worker? BTW I think requiring numbers is a good idea, I want to custom make mine, hence all the questions.
cappy - you already have so many stickers on that bike that there probably isn't enough room to fit the numbers....
I've heard from someone in the know, that the number dealio is just for us East-coast kids. However, that may just be a rumor... Cheers, Lance
Shuf you mouf! That's why I asked about the size, because I can make them small and cram more on there! Plus, A poll on my local board has "leave 'em on" leading by one vote! http://www.ducsunlimited.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5778 Now, back on topic.
Since your Mille already has the number 3 on the front and rear sides, you are already covered if they are ever required.... Unless all single digit numbers are spoken for by 'real' racer types... I understand that each sticker is good for an extra .001 second per lap, but there must be a point where the overall weight of the stickers can be a hindrance.... 8)
Yes and no ...I think... I thought I read that we would be required to have three numbers...and are stickers reduce lap times or give more bhp?
OK, I found it...at the tail end of this thread. http://www.sttforum.com/sttforum/viewtopic.php?t=1328&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Looks like it's a go then.
