I have heard a number of guys talking about running their slicks in both directions to get more even wear and longer life. I just bought a set of Michelin slicks from Sportbike Track Gear (super fast shipping, btw...) and I noticed that both the front 1200 and the rear 1800 have directional arrows, leading me to assume that they are both uni-directional.

My question is, can the Michelin slicks be run both directions (despite the arrows), or does that apply only to some other brands?

I have run many, many sets of 1200/1800 slicks, flipping the rear every couple track days, depending on the track. I have never had a problem running them "backward". It really makes a difference in the wallet if you have a number of tracks with same direction turns, like putnam, grattan, gingerman, Mid O...

Thanks for the confirmation. It will be a huge plus to be able to flip them, since most of my usual tracks (Road A, Barber, Roebling) run clockwise. My Pilot Race rears have always had plenty of good rubber remaining on the left side when the right side is completely shot.
