Hope everyone keeps rubber side down, last Moroso was an offtrack excursion festival. Last event of the year lets see everyone next year!
I'll be there, Black CBR 600RR, I Group, its not one of the better tracks but its only 45 mins from home, so would be stupid not to ride. It is an awkward track, especially the chicanes, I seem to brake to early into turn 1 and turn two is tricky as its tight. I agree about keeping rubber on the track, i believe it was 12 offs before lunch last time!!!!!! thats not good, take it steady in the first session and warm the tires up and have another great STT track day.
I'm going to call back and see if I can be moved from novice to intermediate, I don't think I can deal with all the traffic again.
Gates will open for staff at 7:00am and for riders at 7:15am, we need to get in and set up quickly. sign-up and tech will open at 7:15, riders meeting 8:20, first bikes on track (Int) at 9:00am. There is limited power at Moroso.
When you say limited... Just how limited do you mean? Are there a few pits with and the rest without? I'm sure it's not set up like Homestead, that place is setup for cars in bays. I've only been to Moroso once, for a drag day to see a friend in his Monte Carlo...and i didn't see any pits. Looking forward to this...I was set to go to Homestead, but was pouring at my place so I assumed it was off. My loss, cuz when I went down to see...they were running. Oh well...my own fault. Either case this will be my second track day...first was Barber...what a great experience!
i have a small honda generator if anyone needs to plug in are there pits there at all or do we need tents?
You will need an EZUP. Don't get spoiled by Homestead most track don't have garages! Also unlessyou pit down past the gocart tracks you'll have to setup on grass not alot of concrete pad spots. It is pretty bare bones at Moroso, best thing will be the Outback lunch ! + track time !
If anyone needs shade..tools..generator use i'll be there by myself...see I had other motives too...I have a blue 10x10, black silverado, riding that <--(avatar) yellow R6. If anyone needs anything my name is Chad. See you all tomorrow.
great day, blew a sparkplug, thanks to mark was back on the track in not time! looking forward to intermediate on january, even got the parents support now... pretty kick ass, i cant wait to build my 600!
Had a great time, i'm pretty out of riding shape after being off the bike for 6 months...i'll be back in January!
