    So, life lesson learned today.
After 6 years of riding, thousands of miles, 3 bikes and 1 track day i finally did it.

I finally dropped my bike for no good reason other than being a cocky idiot.
    :thumb:

So i finally got the o2 sensor plug i needed today, a long with a few misc. goodies (rim stripes, tire valve caps) just to have a good day with the bike. I washed it, waxed it, and went over every inch of her just to be sure it was nice and clean. After all, the bike never let me down at the track, and i thought maybe it deserved some pampering.

Anyway, after all that i decided to take it for a ride, put some gas in it and grab a pack of smokes. Well, sure enough i was walking it back WITHOUT MY HANDS ON THE BARS (derp) and plop.....there she went. My left foot hit a tiny bit of gravel and slipped about an inch. That was enough to drop the bike.

No damage to the bike really. A small scrape on the gear selector, a tiny scrape on the cover and.....that's about it. I caught it for the most part and luckily it didnt do any real damage. Its probably because my foot was under most of it.
This kind of sucks because i was seriously (well still am) considering selling the bike and getting something more suitable for the track. Up until today it was flawless. Just like it rolled out of the
factory. "Never been down!" i could say.......:: face palm ::

Anyway, for your enjoyment i actually caught it on video. Its embarrassing, It hurts the ego. I REALLY didn't want to upload it because i didn't want everyone to make fun of me. But, then i thought i should....just because i deserve to be taken down a peg.
There is a bit of fowl language in the video (what? OMG!) so if that kind of thing offends you don't watch i guess.
    Otherwise, fire away! LOL!
    I deserve it. :frusty::frusty:

And here....one time only....for your viewing pleasure....

HA! Yea, you caught that eh? Right in front of my apartment building too. Everyone's windows face the lot and most of the folks are usually hanging out chit-chatting as there is only about 7 of us in the building and we all know each other.

It's funny now, but at the time my heart was beating a thousand miles a minute.

I know people who have intentionally taken their brand new bike and dropped them in the parking lot/driveway, just to get it over with... Ok, it was with a dirt bike. Still,

    First cut is the deepest.

    It happens.

Oh I remember pulling up to the store after a very spirited ride..... getting off the bike and walking away from it..... 1 thing I forgot.... KICKSTAND... My mind was elsewhere I guess because of the sirens getting closer and closer... Picked her up put the kickstand down.. went back in the store and it was a Fire truck...

My first bike, an '86 yamaha maxim 550, was a total junker I got for $600. I loved it though - anyways, I'm pulling up to a gas pump and notice some fine female specimens around and I feel all jittery like I'm about to pull some Grease 2 shit. Well, I stop at the gas pump, hit the kill switch, and start to dismount when BAM I realize, much too late, that I forgot to put the kickstand down. My helmet, with my head still inside of it, slams against the gas pump and actually wedges me between it and the bike. I eventually squirmed out of my embarrassing predicament and go about my business; a little quicker than usual.

To add injury to insult, I get a phone call the next day, "Hi, this is (so-and-so) from Meijer corp. We have video of you vandalizing one of our gas pumps and would like to know if you're prepared to provide a payment to repair the damage."

    Me, "how much??"
    Him, "$4000"
    Me, "!!!!!"

Well, it was my uncle playing a prank, he got me good.

I had a buddy sit on my brand new 07 r6 at a gas station one night and rolled the kickstand back. It stayed up long enough to walk away then boooom! She was layer down. Scuffed the front fairing by the headlights. It wiped off. He got lucky haha

I purchased the GoPro suction cup mount and its the best $30 i've spent camera wise. For this epic event i had it mounted on the windscreen facing back. It gets a little bumpy, but the direction i was headed meant the sun was setting behind me and i thought it would look cool on some of the smoother roads.

It also works well on the gas tank pointed forward.

Check Amazon for the mount as they have tons of different kinds. The suction cup mount is strong (seriously strong) and will mount darn near anywhere.
