I have a set of Mich slicks on the bike now last years set. 1 Track weekend only/ 2 heat cycles (sat /sun) tire warmers on when off track. Is there a good rule for shelf life on a set like this. bike stored on stand since last track time. How long are the tires good for. Plenty of rubber left Just trying to keep expenses down and would like to know some feedback. tires were last run 8/09 @ Barber. Thanks and i appreciate your feedback.
They're probably fine. My last set were mounted in july 08 & were still sticking like glue @ Monticello, last October, after 5 days w/ warmers.
You'll be fine, especially given that you're in a climate that stays consistently warm (for the most part). So you don't have to worry about the tires experiencing a hundred heat cycles while sitting through a harsh Northern Winter in the garage.
