    You can use warmers on any tire.. :wink: it has to do with the amount of time they are on.. Not for this discusion though.. Would just like to know how they did since they are so new..

    I tried them.
    I liked them.

    Take this with a spoonful of salt because I have only changed to different tires twice (Pirelli Supercorsa SP, Pilot Power 2ct, and now the Power Pure [also 2ct]), so I'm not the most attuned to how different tires feel, but since no one has shared anything yet...

    I had a squeeky fresh pair of Power Pures at Roebling this past weekend. Cold pressures were 32 PSI front, 31.5 PSI rear. I felt like they warmed up at least as quickly as the Pilot Power 2ct. I was running a faster I/slower A pace on Sunday when it was high 50s and sunny.

    I feel like the Power Pures were giving me more feedback than the Pilot Power 2cts did. I never had any slips or spin ups, but I could feel them getting a little squirmy during the faster laps. I backed off or pitted after a few consecutive faster laps. Turn-in and braking felt the same as a Pilot Power 2ct, but I'm probably not pushing those limits as much the cornering and throttling out.

    So, my net impression is they are pretty much the same as a Pilot Power, but with a little better feedback. That's exactly what I was hoping for when I bought them. What does Monte say? 'Tires are 90% mental and the rest is in your head.'

    MLEGATO1 - Where did you see that Michelin recommends 34/34 cold for the Pure's? I ran PP 2CT's last year 30/30 cold. I just put Pure's on yesterday and was going to stick with 30/30.

    The information comes from a Michelin Dealer.. I am passing on... Use don't use.. up to you.. I know that when I run the pilots - CT's at too low pressures the heat comes from the sidewall flexing because it is not a race tire and is not designed to run a those lower pressures and be pushed..Resulting in too much heat making the tire greasy. But you do what is best for you.. This topic tends to get like oil discussions.. Everybody has a different opinion.. Best advice is to do what is right for you and experiment.. Good luck..

    MLegato- see the post above yours; if Monte recommends it, chances are, it's spot on, at least as far as Michelin tires are concerned. He's one of the largest distributor of michelin tires in North America and sells more Michelin tires for the race track than anyone.

    this is a copy and paste from the email i sent him asking him about the tire pressure for the power pure

    hi monte,

    i saw the thread on the STT forum that i am on about the new Power Pure tires. i was wondering if you know the suggested tire pressures for an 08 600RR and an 08 600 GSXR? thanks for your help.

    This just in from my Michelin resource..

    =================
    We were told as a rough estimate to run 34psi. Since I spoke with you last we have done some testing with the tires and we are generally running the same pressure Monte has suggested.
    ==========================

    So just wanted to confirm.. and I will be running the pressures suggested by Monte as well.. Good stuff and thanks folks.. Apologies for any confusion...

    Just to add to the Pilot Pure tire pressure confusion, I read that at the European intro in Spain, Michelin told people to run 32/42 f/r at the track. To NOT adjust pressure down as you would usually do because the lighter tire carcass will flex too much and become squirmy.

    For me, I'll be sticking with a trusted source - Monte - and his recommendations.
