...you know that tape that's made to cover your lights on the bike at a trackday....and to put under the stt sticker so it doesn't rip the paint off? well, i've been using that stuff for years....love it. i got this crazy idea...i was painting the house, and found it works really good to tape off edges that you don't want painted. who'd a thunk!!
ahhh....found another really good use for the stuff. used it as a sun visor on my iron butt ride from portland maine to grand rapids michigan....heading west into the sun.
Hmmm...I tried the blue painters tape under the STT sticker at Road Atlanta earlier this month. No worky so good. The sticker blew off my next to last session.
truthfully...it usually has to do with the chemical you use to clean your bike. the blue tape doesn't want to stick to honda polish and other similar brands. clean the area with just general cleaner (i use the yellow bug and tar cleaner spray can from autozone)

LOL! I hadn't considered that. The problem wasn't the painters tape, it stuck fine, the STT sticker came off the painters tape. :shock:
