Frenchie is very pleasant to look at and listen to. I've heard tell she's pretty fast, but haven't seen her ride. Just another of the many interesting people I've met in this sport.

As a professional riding coach, I'm fully capable of observing and admiring a woman's riding technique without ogling her.

That is my final answer.... 8)

ok, next question. other than swap'n out the coolant for water wetter or significant, saftey wiring the oil filter and fill/drain plug and radiator cap. unhooking the lights and tape'n over the lenses and removing the mirrors. is there anything else that needs to be done? i was told you dont really have to go ape-shit wiring axle nuts, caliper bolts, etc.. unless you do a massive amout of trackdays or racing.. and would you suggest a gearing change? like maybe one tooth down in the front or maybe a tooth up on the back.? something that'll pull a tad bit better but not run super high rpm's on the highway at 65 or so m.p.h. or is it really not needed yet?.. its all stock except for a slip-on.. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanx....

A 520 chain conversion with 1 down in front and 2 up in back will really wake that 600 up. You could also buy the stock sized rear sprocket in 520, and put it on for street use.

Honestly, the single smartest thing you can do is call Sportbike Track Gear and buy a set of Hotbodies race fairings for about $500. Get a set of frame sliders, too. That way, the first time your bike has a simple lowside at the track or falls over in the pits, you haven't wiped out two or three grand worth of stock bodywork, or put a scratch in the frame and totalled the bike. I can't tell you how many times I've had people come up to me later and said, "If only I'd listened to you about a set of race skins!"

With practice you'll learn how to swap bodies pretty quickly, so that won't be an issue. If you don't follow this advice, I will most certainly NOT hesitate to say "I told you so" later.

right on, i was think'n bout find'n some scab plastic...and im good to go on the sliders. thats the first thing i did to the bike.. wont that drastic of a gearing change kill me on the highway?

and yea. take'n offf the plastic always wigs me out. the hondas plastic seems so damn brittle(the interlocking tabs) lol.. and is a steering damper really need at this point? it seems pretty stable... a little shake dont bother me(im used to that from my cr's. actually alot on cr's lol)). as long as its not a full on tank slapper lol..

Get the 7th gear PG coolant it's approved for track use and it doesn't freeze, a plus in the off season. you can get that from sportbikegear.com also

People race your bike stock so most of the things you mention are very nice improvements but not necessities. I'd get race fairings, frame sliders and fresh rubber, and then I'd hit the track. Stainless lines are good bang for the buck so throw some of those on too if you're so inclined, but they are not necessary. After you get up to speed you can decide what changes are important to you (what bothers you the most about the bike)...suspension, brakes, gearing, twitchiness, etc. IMO, suspension upgrades are the most important thing you can do to your bike, followed by brake upgrades (pads, stainless lines, radial m/c, etc). I've never used a steering damper myself, though my new bike has one. I feel so special now.

I'll second the comment on the race skins. They don't shatter in a million pieces if you screw up. They hold up alot better. Also the suspension comment is true. If I would have known that along time ago I would have invested in that VERY FIRST!!!

i was just kinda feeling things out. thanx a ton for the input.. i know what ya mean on the susp. setup stuff. makes a dramatic diff... i sent out one of my cr's susp. to pro-circuit for a revalve and springs. and wow what a difference it made. way more forgiving. on this, im roughly 1-2 clicks(or what would be to clicks if it clicked lol)stiffer than stock settings.i havent messed with the sag yet. not sure how on these bikes as far a static sag settings and what not. im sure its diff. than a mx bike. (i weigh 148-150)i know i need it setup. because that is a crucial part of it(overall handling). and thats an easy, free fix up to a certain point. and as far as tires, i just bought mich. pilot powers..they only have maybe 30-40 miles at most on'm. thanx again for the info...

I fell hard on the ice today while fixing a broken water main. Rattled my cage pretty good, but once I stopped seeing Tweety Birds, I was able to get up and walk it off. It would have red flagged the session for sure....
