This was posted by Renard somewhere and as I can't find that post, here you go, for confirmation watch this: http://www.youtube.com/user/MotoGP?ob=1
i think this is a smart move for him. This year should be a good one. what do you guys think about hayden's replacement?
agreed, too bad he wont have that to blame he riding on since they are running spec tires this year and Bridgestone got the bid.
If Ducati decides to add another rider they should take a good look at DePuniet. He pushes his Honda to its absolute limit pretty much non-stop. Do you remember all the comments about him losing the front? Man! I wonder why a racer would be losing the front on a Honda? <sarcasm> if you couldn't tell. It isn't surprising after all he's on the bike Casey got off of and Casey had the same issue when he was with LCR. Its no surprise that Randy now has the same issues. Perhaps with Bridgestone tires it won't be so bad for Randy this year. Hondas have been pushing the front since before Mick Doohan and they'll never change, not even when every single Honda rider says the exact same thing, like they were last season.
Randy was crashing a lot last year, especially in practice. But you're correct about Honda and excuses, don't forget Biaggi too. Rossi proved its the man with his first Yamaha race being a win, and by year's end a championship too. Perhaps Honda gave up???? they aren't listening to the racers, that much is clear.
I would of like to see Spies riding a Ducati!! I think soon we will see this in coming years, Nicky is just selling Ducati's for them in the states. imo He is a great rider but not one for the Ducati Team.
We'll have to wait and see. From all I've read on the Desmosedicci, not everyone gets along with it. Casey has a good amount of experience with the 125 GPs where riding the front to the limit (and the rear) is what counts. That's also what I feel makes Rossi so good, he rides the front and rear tire to the limit (or very close) all the time, every corner, every lap, every time. Even Casey at times hasn't gotten along with the Desmosedicci. There are a number of interviews with Casey where after a practice or warm up crash, and some races last year too, where the reason for the crash wasn't clear to him until after looking at the data. Casey siad some crashes occured from pushing the front to hard and another time is because he didn't push the front hard enough (this on the Duc) so the front washed out from lack of grip. He said its not easy to feel what the Ducati is doing all the time and he just trusts that it'll work out and then dive in to the corner. I have a feeling that's what Bayliss learned once he went back to WSBK and then rode the last race in MotoGP as a substitute. Just trust it more and let the Ducati do its dance on the exit. Anyhow, highsiding early in the weekend is never good. Fortunately he didn't break anything. Still 2 seconds to make up. http://www.motorchili.com/video/3471/MotoGP-Qatar-2009-Nicky-Hayden-Crash Nicky is half caught on camera. At least he didn't get as high as Lorenzo did a couple times last year.
