Sorry, Roebling gave away our Feb date and our Sept date leaving us with a choice of July or Aug and its just too hot down there that time of year. We are supposed to get our regular dates back in 2009.

    Too hot???

I agree, it does suck because i have never ran there but i was looking forward to it.

People ride on tracks nationwide, year round. I can't understand not scheduling a track session because it is too hot.

"Hot" is a relative term and there are measures people can take to deal with the heat.

I work internationally and Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brazil in the summer time...THAT is hot.

Regardless, if track dates were scheduled...people will go.

Unless there were other reasons or conflicting interests, i simply cannot understand not scheduling a track day because it is too hot...at least not from a Organizations stand point.

Whether it is "too hot" or not should be left up to the riders...at least then we have a choice whether to go or not. I am out of the country 6 months out of the year and i have to squeeze in track days whenever i can. It is aggravating to think that i could have ran that track this year but somebody else decided it was too hot for me.

Well, I guess I will put it this way then, last year in July we scheduled a track day weekend at Roebling Road in July, It was 98 degrees both days, we had a TOTAL of 27 signed up riders (exactly 3 Advance riders) and Mon-Bon lost big $$$ on the event. We asked our riders why they did not come, they said "its too hot that time of year". 98 degrees in the Savannah humidity feels like 120 degrees! Much fun as this is, it is still a buisness and must be run as such. Sorry.
Again in 2009 we should be back in both Feb and Sept.

We schedule based on what the majority of our members communicate that they prefer. We don't do Homestead in June/July/Aug, we don't do Road America in Oct/Nov/March/April.... RRR in June/July/August is a low, low demand venue and our resources are better used and our members better served elsewhere.

Ok, I have to admit that I understand your points. I still think it sucks ass because personally, I would go...regardless of the temperature.

But from a business standpoint, I understand where you are coming from.

But ~30 riders sounds like a perfect track day, I might could move up to Advanced if there were only 3 guys running

Since Roebling was canceled, we should all recieve 1 free track day at the track of our choice as compensation.
