Not sure if this is the place to introduce myself. Just registered, and never done a "track day". I'm wanting to learn, and improve my skills. Obviously novice level. I've read gear requirements, but not sure what "passes" for riding gear. I got Shoei Neotec Helmet, and good Alpinestar boots and gloves. Not sure if my pants and jacket will qualify. Mesh/Cordura with armor both Olympia and Sedeci, and not sure either are sufficient. Not sure about what 50% Zipper contact means. Any advice appreciated.

Circumference. Regular old 8 inch zipper to pants setup won't work.
Think of your waist as a circle and the rules set out how much of the circle needs to be a zipper to qualify

You can also, rent full race leathers for not much coin

That's what I thought. Appreciate the info. Where can I rent leathers?

Welcome to the future addiction. Trevor has a pretty good selection of leather suits available for rent. Make sure to reserve one in your size when you book your first day. Welcome to the forum!

Being a relatively new person myself, welcome to the fun zone. 5 track days in so far, already hooked.

First welcome to the nut house. Some real fun crazy fold here.
    You don't mention your area.

Will agree get a couple days under your belt and you will be hooked.
Have noticed my street riding has fallen off sharply. Tired of the cagers trying to kill me.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to it. I'm in Birmingham. Signed up for my first track day on July 17th at Barbers. First time ever on the track.

Leathers? Size? I have no idea other than short and fat. I looked at the size chart, so I guess I'll take a stab at it and hope for the best.

Looking to learn some skills. Hope to see y'all on the track.

    Jim
